New Student Virtual Orientation

Welcome to NLU! We are glad you're here.

Congratulations On Your Acceptance to NLU!

College is one of the most exciting and rewarding times of your life. That is why we want to help you along your path to success in the very beginning!

While we would have preferred to meet you in person, due to COVID-19 safety precautions, New Student Orientation will now be a virtual experience.

Although we are forced to make some changes, we are incredibly excited to offer an enhanced, three-step New Student Orientation program for 2020 that includes both online and in-person activities designed to ensure a successful transition to National Louis University. The information provided at the orientation is designed to make students feel confident and excited as they begin their first quarter at National Louis! You will learn about the university's history, mission, policies and procedures, and the resources available to support your success. We also sprinkle in some fun by doing small group activities, we will have giveaways and raffle off a variety of prizes!

Successful completion of new student orientation involves 3 steps:

Step 1: Complete a set of Modules created to help you become a successful NLU student. Modules will open a week before your scheduled Virtual New Student Orientation.

Step 2: Attend a LIVE 3-hour Virtual New Student Orientation via Zoom to connect with other students, faculty, and staff.

Step 3: Participate in scheduled Ramp Week events during the first week of school to help you feel more connected to the NLU community. Please plan to be on campus Monday-Friday the first week of the Fall quarter

Orientation at NLU is mandatory for freshmen and is designed to provide students with the tools for a successful first year.  Students are required to complete all 3 steps.

Orientation is just for our new students, however, parents and supportive cheerleaders, please save the date for our on-campus New Student Family Day on September 12th.
