Meet the Learning Support Team


‌‌ Courtney Bondi, Executive Director of Advising and Learning Support

Courtney has worked in various academic advising roles at NLU for the past twelve years and recently added the Learning Support Center under her leadership. Previously, she worked as an International Student Advisor at Kendall College before joining NLU. She has over fifteen years of experience in higher education and is focused on access to education for a diverse student body and embedding strategic support for students. Courtney received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College and her Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from Loyola University of Chicago.




Reece McDevitt, Learning Support Manager 

Reece is excited to be a part of the NLU family. He has worked in both higher and secondary education as a math instructor and learning specialist. He is dedicated to helping students feel successful in their academic and professional pursuits. In particular, he enjoys coaching students to communicate well and manage their time. Reece holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College and a M.A. in Mathematics Education from DePaul University. He is an avid bibliophile and enjoys perusing old bookstores for rare finds. In his spare time, Reece enjoys being in nature, playing video games from the 90s, and watching his favorite TV shows/anime. He is excited to lead a team of motivated Learning Specialists to support NLU students. Email:



Kellie Zaremba, Writing Support Specialist

Kellie is the dedicated Writing Support Specialist at Kendall College at National Louis University’s Goose Island campus. A former high school English teacher, she has experience teaching writing and reading for over eight years. Patient and understanding, Kellie prides herself on helping to push students to develop and expand on their written communication skills. A New England native, Kellie holds a B.A. in English Literature from Trinity College and a M.A.T. in Secondary English Education from Tufts University. In her free time, she enjoys reading, checking out local events, and spending time with her dogs. Email:


Tim Cortes, Math Support Specialist

Tim has worked as a math tutor since he graduated from college in 2014, helping students with algebra, geometry, calculus, and similar subjects as well as preparing them for tests such as the SAT and ACT. Tim received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and a Master of Science in Mathematics from Roosevelt University. He greatly enjoys helping others with math, and is excited when he sees students complete a problem they thought was impossible. Tim also likes biking, board games, and desserts. Email:

Moshe Rubin, Math Support Specialist

Moshe (Rhymes with "Kenosha", he/him) is the dedicated Math Support Specialist at Kendall College at National Louis University. Moshe is a Chicagoland native and has been tutoring math and science subjects since he was in high school and 15 years old. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Physics from The University of Illinois at Chicago. When he is not with the Learning Support team, Moshe also works as a Teaching Assistant in NLU's Computer Science department. Outside of NLU, Moshe can usually be found coding, exploring the city, or playing his piano. Email:

‌‌ Grover Wake, Learning Support Specialist

For the past 10 years, Grover has been working with NLU students in the areas of reading, writing, note-taking, test-taking, and critical thinking. His work here has included coordinating tutoring services; teaching composition and student success courses; and developing and facilitating study-skills workshops. His favorite part of working at NLU is helping students become independent learners and succeed in their academic careers. Outside of work, Grover likes reading and writing both fiction and non-fiction.  He is currently taking Written Communications courses in order to expand his skills beyond academic writing. ‌‌ Kaydra Bui, Writing and ADA Support Specialist

Kaydra (she/her) prioritizes access and equity in her approach to education and advocacy. She is committed to supporting graduate and undergraduate students alike in their growth, success, and wellness. By tailoring her mentorship to the individual, Kaydra finds joy in strengthening student writing, critical thinking, class engagement, accessible inclusion, and self-confidence. Kaydra earned her M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition at Miami University with a focus on writing instruction and disability studies. In her downtime, Kaydra loves RPG games, poetry, and finding the yummiest bites in Chicago. Email: 



Kevin Sparrow, Writing Support Specialist

Kevin Sparrow has been working professionally as a writer, editor, and educator since 2008 and with National Louis for the past two years. He received an MFA in Writing from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and was the recipient of the 2014-15 MFAW Teaching Fellowship from SAIC. He also works with different theatre groups in the city as a playwright and as Literary Manager for the theatre company Nothing Without a Company. He enjoys both creative writing and formal writing, which is why he loves to help other people develop their writing skills and their voices. Email:



Tracy Kaske, Writing Support Specialist

Tracy received a Bachelors of Arts degree in English with minors in Psychology and Leadership from Eureka College. During her time as an undergraduate student, Tracy served as a peer tutor for the college. Tracy also spends her time working as a Teaching Assistant for Northwestern University's Center for Talent Development. In her free time, Tracy enjoys biking, reading, and binge-watching shows on Netflix. Email:



Adrienne Dodt, English Language Learner Tutor 

Adrienne is the English Language Learner Tutor at the Office of Learning Support. She loves to help students better understand the English language and to see students improve their writing skills. Since 2011, Adrienne has taught college-level English classes, taught developmental English classes, taught English as a Second Language classes, and tutored. She holds a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in French from the University of Iowa and a Master's degree in Writing and Poetics from Naropa University. In her spare time, Adrienne likes to write poetry, visit museums, and take long walks. Email:

Qiqi Tran, Math Support Specialist 

Qiqi started tutoring math in 2012. After receiving her Master’s  Degree in Applied Mathematics in 2016, she became an adjunct  professor and has taught a wide range of classes, such as Algebra,  Trigonometry, General Mathematics, Statistics, and Calculus. She  has always wanted to be an educator who is not only capable of  passing her knowledge to students, but also inspiring students to  achieve their academic goal. In her spare time, Qiqi enjoys  cooking, gardening, as well as playing computer games with her friends. They will usually play two or three matches of Leagues of Legends every night. Email:
