Learning Support
Welcome to NLU Learning Support.
Our mission is to offer proactive academic assistance for NLU students. We provide personalized tutoring (both virtually and onsite) in writing, math, computer science, and English-language learning (ELL/ESL support); coordinate with faculty to support student learning; host workshops and events to prepare students for major assessments; create and curate help guides and tutorials; and advocate for equitable educational access.
All of our services are completely free for any student enrolled at NLU.

Our team consists of writing, math, computer science, and ELL specialists who have extensive experience tutoring and providing general academic support to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Learning Support hosts drop-in online tutoring through its Study Tables program - no appointment required!
Study Tables is hosted through Zoom on weekdays from 1 pm - 5 pm, Chicago Time.
To join, navigate to this page, then click "Click Here to Join".
Make sure you have access to Zoom, either through the official Zoom application or the Zoom website; otherwise you won't be able to attend!
Note: Study Tables is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. On very busy days, we cannot guarantee that a tutor will be available to provide immediate assistance. If you'd prefer to reserve an appointment, consult our scheduling page.
Learning Support offers an assignment drop-off service. The service allows our specialists to review your homework before you submit it.
Note: We do our best to provide feedback within two business days, but we cannot guarantee a quicker turnaround than that. If you've got a big assignment coming up, finish it early so that we have time to look it over!
