Master's in Human Services Management Degree

M.S. in Human Services Management

National Louis University’s Master’s in Human Services Management is a specialized, practice-oriented graduate degree for aspiring professionals interested in developing critical leadership skills to manage in nonprofit and for-profit health and human services agencies. This innovative program places an emphasis on sharing of best practices, immediate application in the workplace, and supporting/preparing students for advancement.

NLU has designed this new program in consultation with, and support of, human services management industry leadership with topics such as the role of managers, supervising employees, working with boards of directors, the art of delegation, interacting with the media, managing risk and much more.

Our campus-based modalities for this program include a bi-weekly option (i.e., twice a month) and a weekend option (once a month).

Choose NLU's Master of Science in Human Services Management program if you:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, demand for Human and Community Service Managers will be above average, growing at 21% (2.1% annually) for the next 10 years (2012-2022) and creating 132,900 jobs at an average salary of $59,970 per year (see GuideStar). Most of these jobs will be in the areas of serving the elderly and disabled.

  • Based upon Dunn and Bradstreet data, there are 10,249 organizations that operate in the Human Services category within the Chicago metropolitan area.
  • In addition, data available about recent undergraduates entering the field shows that there were 506 undergraduate degrees awarded in Illinois in 2014 within Human Services.
